The Obstinate Object: Contemporary New Zealand Sculpture

Sculpture has re-established itself as one of the most vital art forms for today. The Obstinate Object: Contemporary New Zealand Sculpture calls together recent New Zealand sculpture which foregrounds the making of and engagement with objects and object-ness as central to the experience of the medium. The artists in this exhibition rework conventional sculptural modes and materials, insisting that sculpture is something to be made and physically encountered by its audience in real space and real time.
It's on now until June 10th
The exhibition spills out into the city too. Even beside the new Radio Active at Glover Park!

Our Love For Trade Aid Contintues

This week we are focusing on their Fair Trade food prodcucts.

At their store at the corner of Bond and Victoria Streets you can find over 20 food products including cofee, rice, coconut milk, chocolate, spices, sugar, cocoa, drinking chocolate, dried fruits, oil, tea, couscous and nuts.

They have worked long and hard to build a long term, direct trading relationships with small scale farmers accross Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific to ensure quality manufacturing and production.  Through their fair trade practices, farmers also receive a farer wage and better working conditions.
