WAITANGI DAY FUN DAY IN UPPER HUTT

 
Orongomai Marae in Upper Hutt is celebrating Waitangi Day with a fun filled open day. There will be cultural events, displays, traditional kai and performances from a variety of multi-cultural groups. A tour of the Marae and explanation of the Treaty are available on the day. The event is free and runs from 9am till 2pm, starting with a powhiri. Orongomai Marae Open Day and Waitangi celebrations ? WELLINGTON STORYTELLERS CAFE

 
The Storytellers Cafe team welcomes StoryListeners to join us for our first gathering of 2012. Tales of summer are the theme for this evening, with feature performances by Linda Bremford (Shadow the Storyteller), Caroline Welkin (raconteur and stand-up) and consummate host Judith Jones, to warm us up as the nights shorten. Chill out after a hot summer break with cool tales from great tellers.

2012 ANNUAL CAMP

 
Wellington Branch of Christian Fellowship For Disabled invites you to partner with us in making our 2012 Annual Camp the best yet. The Camp is being held at El Rancho, Waikanae over the weekend of 9th-11th March, and there are various ways you can help us with this predominately adult camp, such as: 
Being a buddy or support person to someone with a disability; 
Encourage someone with a disability to register; 
Sponsor someone to come. either a disabled person or support person cost $70, transport (if needed) $25; 
Financial support for camp costs not covered by Registration Fees.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE WELLINGTON

 
To help raise funds for our new House, local artists and members of the community created works of art on spades. 
 
We are holding an exhibition for the Spades at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington from 3 February to 12 February, with the official opening on Tuesday 7th February 2012. All are welcome to come and view the exhibition, free of charge. 
 
All the spades are currently up for auction TradeMe, all with a $1 reserve!

Paraparaumu Memorial Hall, Cnr Aorangi & Tutanekai Streets, Paraparaumu 
On Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 February from 9.30am until 2.30pm on both days
