Good As New – Donated glasses for the Pacific Islands

Mr Foureyes needs public donations of good quality second-hand glasses for a volunteer trip to Fiji this July. Around 2,000 people will be helped to see clearly again over the 2 week trip. We need donations of:

o optical glasses

o reading or hobby glasses

o sunglasses (non-prescription)

Donated glasses can be dropped off at Small Batch (22 Waione Street, Petone) or at the Z Energy headquarters (Queens Wharf – Level One reception) all month. You can also drop them directly to Mr Foureyes (57 Rakau Rd, Hataitai).

First Do No Harm exhibition at Thistle Hall

First Do No Harm is an art-based exhibition focusing on the fundamental values of ending rape culture.

In particular; consent, gendered and sexual violence towards women, gender minorities, the disabled, the vulnerable and other minority groups in our communities. The purpose of this exhibition is to represent the diversity of people in our community affected by sexual violence.

Matariki Market

Sustainability Trust is getting together a whole lot of ethical, local and eco-friendly traders in one room for a Matariki-themed market on Saturday the 24th of June from 10am until 2pm.

There will also be food and coffee, sustainable living experts to chat to, activities for the kids and electric cars to try out.
