Since the release of their 2017 album Perfect Body, Mermaidens have been celebrated as one of the most distinctive and hardworking acts in alternative rock. Following a string of sell out shows across Aotearoa, Perfect Body received praise from media outlets around the world, and a nomination for the prestigious Taite Music Prize.
Across the ditch, Sydney based four-piece Mere Women have been making an impact both locally and globally. Their shapeshifting blend of post-punk and atmospheric noise makes for a captivating and cathartic live show, which has lead to support slots for bands such as Protomartyr, Against Me and Screaming Females.
This gig will also mark the debut performance of Wellington acid rock three-piece Linen, fronted by Emerald Rose of the legendary Draghound. Additional support comes from Stasher, who will fill the floor with hot bangers.
