New Zealand’s very first festival of solo theatre launched at BATS this week with 17 shows, 5 workshops and two panels. Jampacked with extraordinary performances. The line up includes established solo works such as She Danced on a Friday, Bill Massey’s Tourists, The Motorway, and Run Rabbit, and a nightly showcase by emerging artists from tertiary institutions in Wellington. There are day time workshops led by experienced industry practitioners, and two panels discussing the practise of solo performance.
