A third of food produced globally is lost or wasted from farm to fork. In New Zealand, the average Kiwi family throws out three shopping trolleys of food each year. Tessa Vincent is a leading figure in the fight against food waste and the founder of NZ Food waste champions 12.3. Here she talks to Maggie about how New Zealanders can turn this reality and lead the world in sustainable food production all while preventing food from being wasted.
