This September we celebrated Te Reo Māori language week across Aoteraroa!

Māori Language Moment | Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori
The Radio Active team joined thousands around Aotearoa for Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori on Monday September 14th.

The Vault with Maggie and Jim Scott
Jim presents a special te reo focussed Vault on Breakfast. Made with the support of NZ on Air.

Check out for more information and resources so you can learn more and incorporate te reo in your life throughout the year.

Maggie talks about the puka puka that have pushed her along on her Te Reo journey.  She begins with Scotty Morrison’s “Phrase Book of Modern Māori”.  She chose this book because she felt encouraged that Morrison began to learn Te Reo at age 19 and is now a fluent presenter!

Don Luchito before he eats his lunch.

Maggie discusses some more well known Māori place names in Wellington and how to pronounce them, finally offering the Māori version of the English names.
