On March 3rd we packed up the van once again, and headed along to the far end of Riddiford Street for Newtown Festival!

This year, the RadioActive.FM & Coffee Supreme South Stage featured performances from Mystery Waitress, The Warratahs, Matt Joe Gow, Julia Deans, The Nudge, King Homeboy, and Wallace

Supporting the stage were Toi Rauwhārangi Massey College of Creative Arts and The Amazing Travelling Photo Booth

And the action wasn’t just contained to the stage! Out in front we were entertained by performances from Orleta & Orzel Dance Ensembles, Vietkids, Footnote New Zealand Dance, Wellington Chinese Sports And Cultural Centre, and the Solid Gold Dance Crew.

Not even the rain stops the South Stage!
Following an awe-inspiring set from King Homeboy, Wallace closed out the day with a stellar performance to a slightly damp audience, kept warm by their fire dance moves! (but what else would you expect, even the Wellington weather was keen to get involved!)

As well as RadioActive.FM’s merch tent, and Coffee Supreme’s new ice-cold brew, The Amazing Travelling Photo Booth was also on site with their Caravan Of Love! Whipping up badges from your photobooth pics!
The students and staff from Toi Rauwhārangi Massey College of Creative Arts held down engineering duties, pumping out the sounds from dawn ’till dusk!
