We are joined on Parakuihi by Hun Lunch to talk about Sycophant, the first offering of recorded music from the polymathic Tāmaki artist Hun Lynch. Recorded almost entirely at her house on a bedroom setup, Hun wrote, played and produced almost every element on the album (with the exception of one drum track contribution from the master Cory Champion). Sycophant guides us through lucid cinematic scenes saturated in hypnotic choral vocals, driving guitar loops and synth-work akin to musique concrète.
