{Suite} Gallery and the Ans Westra Estate are pleased to present, for the first time ever, the iconic series Washday At The Pa. This pop-up exhibition includes the complete series of photos made by Ans Westra in Ruatōria in 1963 for the controversial school journal Washday at the Pa, including images that have never been exhibited or published before. Along side this will be a selection of items from the Ans Westra Vault, including displays of cameras, books and newspaper clippings from Ans’s scrapbook at the time.

This free exhibition is being held at Courntey Creative, the site of the old National Bank. Its former bank vault is now the Ans Westra Vault, which has contained her work and archives since her passing in 2023.
