Nameless & Brainless at Moon

6 piece Soul/Hip Hop Wellington band play Moon for the first time with support from Sam Fowles (solo) and Lucy Summerfield (solo with cello accompanied)

What started as some jams for a Master's level project between a couple of the bros has evolved into a soulful, hard-hitting band. While this project is fresh, each of the musicians either has a degree in music or has vast experience in the industry. High-energy Kiwi raps in English and Te Reo, accompanied by a powerful band and driven by a locked-in rhythm section.

13th of May at Moon Bar, 6.30pm start with koha entry

S-ence Presents Matt Drake (AKL)

S-ence returns to the Cuba St Tavern Courtyard with a special concept night to warm up your winter blues. ESSENTIAL SELECTIONS feat. Matt Drake • Jen Kyle • Coda After playing together at Arkadien last year, this powerhouse trio came up with the idea for a night where each selector could go a little more free-range - playing sets and tracks that riff off each other throughout the evening. Not quite a B2B, but definitely just as much fun. S-ence is proud to welcome Matt Drake back to the capital. A long-time champion of timeless electronic music in Aotearoa, Matt blends cosmic house, hypnotic Detroit techno and Balearic grooves into sets that are deep, driving and full of energy. Jen Kyle’s cult following continues to grow, known for genre-spanning sets that move through techno, disco, punk, funk, soul, hip hop, new wave and beyond. Rounding out the lineup, Coda returns to the CST courtyard fresh off sets at CubaDupa and Baobab @ Newtown Festival. Expect plenty of groove, curveballs and dancefloor moments. Expect essential selections across early and late sets from all three DJs, with lots of fun on and off the decks. Saturday 16 May 7PM - 1AM Cuba St Tavern Courtyard House through to techno and beyond. 🎟 Tickets on sale now via Humanitix ...
