...Moon Goose + National Sensation @ Moon Bar
Local favourites NATIONAL SENSATION are joining forces with rising alt-folk band Moon Goose for a one-off Sunday special at Moon, Newtown, on November 30th.
Moon Goose will kick off the evening, sharing songs from their recently released debut EP, On the Island Where Our Shadows Lie, showcasing their dark-yet-bright take on Celtic-inspired folk.
Then it’s over to the genre-defying sound of National Sensation, who have drawn comparisons to everyone from Kate Bush and Björk to The Phoenix Foundation. Known for their “bloody good bangers, ballads, and banter,” they sing about the important things; calling Aotearoa home, mums, the bush, death (in both funny and sad ways), and even local Residents Associations.

Space Place: Low Sensory Hour
Space Place, Wellington’s space science museum, hosts a Low-Sensory Hour on the first Sunday of each month. The session welcomes anyone who benefits from a low-sensory environment.
Lights and sounds throughout the galleries will be reduced and visitors can enjoy a gentle planetarium experience, a designated chill out space and craft activities.
The next Low-Sensory session is on Sunday the 7th of December. Booking is encouraged, head to spaceplace.nz to save your spot.
