WCC Presents Gardens Magic
Wellington City Council presents Gardens Magic, Pōneke’s iconic summer event with its free Concert Series, an evening Light Display, daytime Kids Garden Trail and Kids Explorer Days, 6 to 25 January in the Botanic Garden ki Paekākā.
Enjoy the sounds of our capital’s talent from 7pm, Tuesday to Sundays, and see the gardens transform with a magical Light Display as the sun sets. Tamariki can explore the world of butterflies on the Kids Garden Trail.

...Newtown Rocksteady Returns!
The mighty Newtown Rocksteady Return with their massive house of sound for two shows this month, at St Peters hall, paekakeriki, on Friday 9th Janurary at 8:30pm and the Rogue and Vagabond on Saturday 10th at 9:00pm.
The bonfire will be lit with bass, dowsed in drums, and then fed with vocals, guitars, keys, horns, dancing, banter, laughter and special guests.
The band has its roots firmly embedded in the traditions of Jamaican rocksteady, ska and reggae music and is further nourished by its connection with its community.
