Wellington City Council presents Gardens Magic, Pōneke’s iconic summer event with its free Concert Series, an evening Light Display, daytime Kids Garden Trail and Kids Explorer Days, 6 to 25 January in the Botanic Garden ki Paekākā.

Enjoy the sounds of our capital’s talent from 7pm, Tuesday to Sundays, and see the gardens transform with a magical Light Display as the sun sets. Tamariki can explore the world of butterflies on the Kids Garden Trail.

Moon welcomes DJs & producers of all experience levels to come & share their tunes this Thursday!

Hosted by Intec (Third Eye Hifi), he'll be down early to share his knowledge with anyone who wants to learn about DJing/soundsystems, with 15 minute lessons, followed by 20 minute open decks slots, on both digital and vinyl.

We're also very excited to be hosting DJ/Producer NOVA (UK) for a set this time around! Bring your tracks on a USB or records, and make sure to come down early to book your slot!

Rally your mates for Ōtaki Summer Camp - a four day annual gathering for people (aged around 17-35) who care about politics, justice, anti-racism, equality and the environment. Camp is for people just beginning to explore political ideas AND experienced change-makers and activists, keen to get together to kick off this key election year well.

Set on an organic farm, it’s a time to hear and talk about ideas; boost and share skills; to meet and get to know others who care; and explore local mountains, forests and rivers with experienced guides.

Plus, there's live music, and great kai made by our 100% volunteer crew.
