David Tremont brings his meticulously crafted world of model-making to Fishcube Gallery, on show 29 May–23 June.

Step into an imaginative showcase of more than 50 hand-built models spanning the last decade of his practice. On view is a range of large-scale vehicles, a constellation of quirky robots, and more from Tremont’s self-published books and vivid imagination.

Come up close to the textures, engineering and storytelling embedded in every build, and see how everyday materials transform into vehicles, characters and scenes that spark inspiration to create.

Girls Rock Aotearoa is a charity that offers holiday programmes and workshops for young women, trans, intersex, takatāpui, queer and gender-diverse youth where music is the medium to build confidence, empowerment and foster social change.

This July To the Front Pōneke is hosting their annual youth music programme. The quiz is to help fund this incredible programme that sees youth join a band and with the support of industry professionals write and perform an original song.

Grammy-winning producer, DJ, and filmmaker Flying Lotus Returns to Aotearoa

Grammy Award-winning producer and visionary Flying Lotus (Steve Ellison) comes to New Zealand this early winter, bringing his signature fusion of hip-hop, jazz, electronic beats, and experimental sound. Over a decade-long career, he’s released acclaimed albums and collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Solange, Thom Yorke, and Herbie Hancock, while founding the influential Brainfeeder label.

His latest EP, Big Mama (March 2026), was produced entirely in New Zealand during work on his debut sci-fi film Ash, and is described as “an experimental, maximalist, hyperfast, electronic burst of energy… unpredictable and alive.”
