STAMPTOWN @ NZ International Comedy Fest
The New Zealand International Comedy Festival presents – STAMPTOWN
This is not a “sit nicely and chuckle” comedy show. Stamptown is a raunchy, chaotic, 90 minute spectacle featuring the most exciting alternative performance from around the world.
Hosted by bad boy of clown, Zach Zucker, Stamptown is a five-time New York Times Top Comedy Pick (2021-2025) and has packed out rooms at Netflix Is A Joke, Just For Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury, SXSW, Lincoln Center, Soho Theatre, MICF, and Off-Broadway – basically, anywhere people like their comedy sweaty, surprising, and slightly unhinged.
You’re not just watching a show, you’re getting swept up in it. Think big laughs, big swings, and the kind of show you have to bring friends to.
19-23 May at Hannah Playhouse, get your tickets from comedyfestival.co.nz
...ON&ON Presents Zen (Jewel School) and Christopher Tubbs at Cuba St Tavern
On May 23rd at ON&ON, head honcho Christopher Tubbs will be joined by special guest Zen, who you may know as one of the tastemakers behind The Jewel School, the beloved Saturday night show on Radio Active that’s become an institution during its 25 year reign (he’s also the Music Programmer at RNZ, but that’s another story).
He's a legendary DJ on the scene, yet he very rarely plays to a dancefloor… Which is a travesty, because he’s incredibly good at it. Saturday 23rd is one of those rare occasions where the stars have aligned.
As most regular ON&ON party people know, this daytime get-together sells out in the shake of a lamb's tail, so don't hang about! Join us in that beautiful botanical courtyard at Cuba St Tavern for a day into night of Balearic burners, deep disco, classic house inspiration and post punk detonations.
P.S- we might go a little later than 11pm 😉
