Ian Wards is Senor Curator (Taonga) at Te Waka Huia o Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho Wellington Museum. He remembers the Wellington music scene exploding with amazing Pasifika-infused dub reggae in a big boil-up of creativity in the early 2000s, and was one of many who keenly awaited the release of Based On A True Story
