Dean Baigent-Mercer is the Northland Conservation Manager for Forest and Bird – New Zealand’s leading independent conservation organisation. Forest and Bird have been protecting Aotearoa’s wildlife and wild places, on land and in the sea since 1923. They consistently push for environmental action, they deliver boots-on-the-ground conservation mahi – from planting to pest control – and speak up for nature in the courts, the media, and at all levels of government.
